Feel at Home at Aunty Manju’s Home of Banana Leaf

Seems to always be a FEAST here in  Malaysia. I love the people. I love the food even more.

A newfound friend took me out for some really good Indian food. He mentioned something about banana leaves so I had imagined food being cooked in them. Turns out, it’s like the boodle fight back home in the Philippines where we eat food ON banana leaves haha! Felt right at home.

Aunty Manju’s hits home for me, not just because I was eating off banana leaves but the choices of food felt like something your mom or your grandma would cook, though ironically both my grandmother and mother don’t really cook! I just felt like I was eating at home and the meal was plenty… and heavy.

Honestly I don’t know what we ordered but it was a bunch of curried meat, fried chicken, and some awesome vegetable dishes. If you want a feast of your own over Indian food, head over to Aunty Manju’s.
